The CAT 10 IG, CAT 15 IG, and CAT 25 IG shelters have a 6 KW internal generator and 350 gal diesel tank. The Earthcom 60 Dome and Earthcom 32, 70, and 100 Arches can be configured with many generator options so they are shown below with the most common generator options. All diesels configurations are designed for "Mission Critical" applications and come standard with spare fuel pumps, fuel filters, air filters, oil filters, V-belts, oil, coolant, fuses, took kit, etc. for a minimum of 1000 hours of operation.
Internal Diesels Generators consist of the quiet diesel generator, MCAS (Multiple Chamber Air Sterilization) air filtration units, and fuel tank inside the shelter so generator and air filters can be operated and serviced from inside the shelter. Internal generators use NBC filtered air for cooling and combustion. The generator powers a smart battery charger/AC inverter in the shelter to maintain the 12-volt battery bank to supply both 12-volt and AC power for long durations.
External Diesels Generators consist of a separate self-contained unit with a fuel tank, generator, and air blower with NO air filtration. The generator can be started remotely from inside the shelter but the generator must be serviced by exiting the shelter and working on a possibly contaminated generator which will need to be decontaminated before servicing. The generator powers a smart battery charger/AC inverter in the shelter to maintain the 12-volt battery bank to supply both 12-volt and AC power for long durations.
