General Specifications and Pricing SEE CAT 25 BROCHUREThe CAT25 is a totally self-contained 40-150 psi structural fiberglass multiple elliptical toroid underground disaster shelter designed to protect 25 adults for long periods or 50 people for short durations such as during tornadoes. A 6 KW internal quiet diesel generator and three 150 gallon diesel tanks under the floor provide a one year power duration. The 68db generator charges the batteries and runs the larger appliances. Otherwise an inverter provides AC power. Air filtration is provided by an MCAS 120/600 system located under the counter. Two all-in-one bathrooms include an electric toilet, shower, and small sink. The kitchen has a large sink, and counter area with electrical outlets for small appliances. AC & DC breaker boxes are located on the outside of the shower by the entry. Standard entry is through a 45 degree stairwell 4 ft x 7 ft elliptical tunnel allowing full headroom. Other means of entry and egress also work with this shelter including the PE78 elevator. Five queen size jackknife sofas and fifteen single bunks accommodate the 25 shelterists. Under floor storage will feed the 25 people for up to one year. A water filtration system provides long-term filtration of water from a dependable outside source like a well. This model can also be ordered with a more comfortable floor plans for fewer people extending the duration of food storage under the floor. Food stored above the floor also extends shelter duration. Other options like a combination washer and dryer, stove top and video system are shown.
