General Specifications and Pricing SEE RC 8 BROCHUREThe RC 8 (Ribbed Cylinder) is an 8 person 20-40 psi underground shelter designed for long-term durations with an internal 6 KW diesel generator and one 150 gallon diesel tank to provide a shelter duration of 6 months. The 68db generator charges the batteries and runs the larger appliances. Otherwise an inverter provides AC power. Air filtration is provided by the MCAS 120/600. The large all-in-one bathroom includes an electric toilet, shower, and small sink. The kitchen has a large sink, and counter area with electrical outlets for small appliances. Entry is by a 3' diameter, 68 degree ship's stairway. AC & DC breaker boxes are located under the counter by the entry. Two queen size jackknife sofas and four single bunks accommodate the eight shelterists. A water filtration system provides long-term filtration of water from a dedicated well. Options include a long-term 20 psi septic system and a combination washer dryer. The RC8B is designed for a 4 ft berm installation requiring a smaller hole, shorter entry, and using all the displaced dirt for cover. The RC8F is designed for a flush installation with only a small pile of dirt to conceal and protect the entry.
