NEW FOR 2008
THE RADIUS ENGINEERING P15 UNDERGROUND BOMB SHELTER
Forney , TX - Oct 1, 2007. Radius Engineering Inc. entering its 30th year, announces its new P15 fiberglass underground shelter which is 70% bigger than the P10 (10 person shelter) The P10 underground shelter has been in service for more than 14 years. The P15 is bigger than a single car garage and almost 12 feet in diameter by over 27 feet long.
Water, Battery, Transport
The P15 has in internal 1,000 gallon water tank under the floor that can be accessed by a manway from inside the shelter. Water volume is measured by an internal dip stick. With a battery bank of 24 batteries and plenty of storage, it is the biggest paraboloid underground shelter that can be transported down the road.
Shelter Customer Input into Design
Military and commercial customers -- both domestic and foreign -- wanted a 15 person 40 psi shelter made of only two components: (1) a shelter component, and (2) an entranceway that could be transported by truck and boat, and be installed quickly.
Stairwell Option
The P15 model also comes with a stairwell option for those who do not want to enter the shelter by a vertical ladder.
Water, Lighting, Security and Air Filtration
The P15 has a floor with molded storage bays, sleeping area, kitchen, pressure water system, LED white lights, built in alcohol stove, shower, manual toilet, hydraulic hatch made of Radius Combat CompositeTM that operates by a remote transmitter so there is no lock for intruders to tamper with, moon shelves inside, double MCAS units (Multiple Chamber Air filtration System) and ample volume.
Installation Safety Features
The P15 can be redeployed relatively easily. As are all Radius shelters, the P15 Underground Shelter is corrosion free. The shelter has little or no radar signature, thermal signature, or metallic signature. The all-composite structure does not collect EMP. It can be installed below the water table.
No Approvals Required
Radius shelters do not need a building permit since they are pre-engineered temporary and emergency structures with no concrete foundation. The shelters are self-contained and not connected to local water or electric suppliers.
Life Support
Life support ranges from 30 days to one year with the SCUPP (Self Contained Underground Power Plant).
Prices
After two years of development, advance orders are being taken for the P15 for delivery in early 2008. The P15 Military model is selling initially for $128,200. International deliveries will probably be given priority over domestic deliveries.
